A brand new game is hitting kickstarter in a polished and beautiful aesthetically edition and a name that comes with some noise… KAPOW! Yes exactly like the sound of the attack of a superhero against a vicious supervillain or is it the other way around? It is really a wonderful new way to enjoy fights on a level that we only get to see so far in movies of TV shows. Do you want to be a Hero or a Villain? Choose your side, grab your dice, and get ready to roll!

KAPOW! is a brand new game that comes to shake what most of us would expect from a Superhero game. The new amazing custom built dice that fuel the main action of the game, provide both a ton of flexibility and repeatability at the same time. By constantly modifying our dice, we are able to put pressure where we think it matters most, in order to get the best possible combinations and use them for our actions. KAPOW! uses buildable dice, allowing you to add and remove dice faces during the course of battle. This makes for a super-strategic dice-battling experience. With each roll, you decide how to attack, defend, and power up your character by choosing where to place your dice. The battles get more explosive with each roll and as you gain more dice and dice faces. KAPOW! is simple to learn (roll and place), but has layers of strategy as you customize your dice pool and leverage the unique powers of the KAPOW! universe’s heroes and villains!

KAPOW! Volume 1 contains six supers: Tough Nut, Elusivity, and Time Out are the heroes, while Victor Kane, Coquette, and Spoiler Alert are the villains. This set can be combined with KAPOW! Volume 2 to mix and match the characters or have up to four players in one game.

Description from the Publisher: Superhero or supervillain? You decide in this buildable dice game. Your customizable dice pool is used to execute a variety of superpowers. Gain special abilities and new play experiences by taking on the role of six different heroes or villains. In KAPOW!, players go head-to-head in a classic explosive clash of good vs. evil. You choose to be a villain or hero, which determines your starting trait dice and unique abilities. You can gain additional blank “action dice” that have removable faces that that you customize to your liking to best enhance your character. Behind a player screen, you roll dice, then allocate them to attack, defense, and power-up abilities. The combination of choosing how to grow your dice pool, how to customize your action die faces, and how to use each roll leads to a satisfying, strategic showdown.
